An initiative offering carbon offsets to finance supposedly more efficient cooking stoves in India is the latest example of the shortcomings of voluntary carbon credit schemes, reports Climate Home News.

After many stories like this one in the past two years, we’re well-versed on the failings of the market for voluntary carbon credits. The question is whether reforms can make offsets a contributor to climate solutions.
