The New York Times highlights a United Nations’ backed report concluding that the world is on track to more than double fossil fuel production by 2030, led by the world’s richest countries.

The report is more evidence that the future of fossil fuels will be center stage at the coming COP28, but the most powerful players are also the biggest problem for progress on climate.
