A Princeton-led study with startup Fervo Energy finds geothermal power offers an inherent storage capability that can be tapped to complement intermittent wind and solar energy.

Seems so obvious that makes me wonder why more companies are not using this approach. Also, I am curious to know how much energy would be expended in extracting and injecting the fluid.
