Going nuclear.

The U.K. government has announced plans to build a new large-scale nuclear plant, hoping nuclear energy will meet a quarter of the country's electricity needs by 2050, the BBC reported.

The move comes despite current nuclear projects being behind schedule and over-budget. The prime minister said nuclear was the "perfect antidote to the energy challenges facing Britain."
