The European Commission announced an action plan to overhaul its 40-year-old electricity infrastructure to meet new renewable energy demands as the energy transition speeds up, Reuters reported.

What struck me is that new cross-border infrastructure connecting at least two EU countries should double in the next seven years. That’s on top of what each country needs to do nationally.
