A material designer in Amsterdam is developing processes to make fabric for everything from clothes to curtains from human hair swept off the floor of hair salons, The Washington Post reports.

It's fascinating to consider how materials that are currently by and large considered garbage can be used to make other products, giving that material a completely new and unexpected second life.
