Utility Dive reports on the $19 million raised by developer Fourth Power to demonstrate how its battery can be used to store wind and solar power as heat for up to 100 hours.

Although this battery is not yet market-ready, these funds will enable Fourth Power to demonstrate its technology, and hopefully, persuade utilities and regulators to take a chance on it.
