The Washington Post examines the practicality of banning new natural gas lines to buildings, one of 80 doable recommendations made in a new National Academies report to accelerate decarbonization.

Although the article doesn't talk about it, the existing lines may be able to be repurposed to transport clean hydrogen once the buildings are electrified.
