The European Commission has proposed imposing methane emissions limits on European Union gas imports from 2030, Reuters reported.

The move would pressure international fossil fuel supplies to cut methane leaks. Also worth noting is that Norway, EU's biggest gas supplier, has the world's lowest methane emission intensity.
