Azerbaijan appointed no women to its 28-member organizing committee for the COP29 global climate summit set to take place in the country in November, The Guardian reported.

Azerbaijan is already under scrutiny for being another fossil fuel-producing nation to host a COP. This news is only set to magnify that scrutiny.
