Norwegian dilemma.

This Financial Times (paywall) op-ed argues Norway should use its windfall profits from the energy crisis (estimated as the cost of the entire Marshall Plan of 1948-51) to underwrite investments in developing countries.

This touches deeply on the lingering moral dilemma for Norway, whose wealth comes from exporting fossil fuels. The author presents a good argument (backed by strong numbers). The question is: how strong is altruism really?
