Short reprieve.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's newly imposed carbon limits on power plants will live to see another day and not be halted immediately, according to a POLITICO report on a federal ruling.

The reprieve may be short lived because the federal appeals court has given the 25 states and a trade group opposing the rule until May 24 to explain why the rule shouldn't be allowed to take effect.
