Spending soars.

Global cleantech spending in electric vehicles and related infrastructure, renewables and grids soared to a record $2.3 trillion in 2023, Bloomberg reports, citing new BNEF data.

Last year's spending reached record levels despite economic headwinds. But BNEF noted nearly three times more spending is needed for the world to reach net zero carbon emissions.
