ArcelorMittal and the French state will invest €1.8 billion to reduce the carbon generated by the company’s steel plant, cutting the country’s industrial emissions by 6%, Bloomberg reported.

The decarbonization will happen with nuclear power. The finance minister described it as a "victory for France," since it won out over Belgium, Germany and Spain to get the company's investment.
