Treasury Department is proposing giving companies up to 20% in new tax breaks for installing clean power in low-income areas including Tribal lands, E&E News reports.

The plan would offer tax breaks for geothermal, hydropower, nuclear and other low-carbon technologies, but not for carbon capture added to fossil fuel power plants.
