TerraPower had a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday in Wyoming to mark the beginning of construction at the site where it hopes to build a new kind of nuclear reactor, The New York Times reports.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission still hasn't approved TerraPower's application, which reporter Brad Plumer rightly mentions. Still, it's fascinating to see a coal town looking to nuclear to evolve.
