Brazil is leading the charge against the EU's border carbon tax at the climate talks in Dubai, POLITICO reports. The bloc is currently assessing the tax, which will take effect in 2026.

As Cipher reported earlier, the border tax would burden middle- and low-income countries like Brazil, India and others that already are reeling from high fuel prices and inflation.
